Sort yourself out! Bucko

This is Jordan Peterson's general mantra. And it's a good one. So good that it deserves to be unpacked right down to specific conditions of its embodiment.

A lot of people make the claim that it can't be unpacked any further because the state of being "sorted out" varies per individual. And there's some truth to that. But there are definitely sorts that can be abstracted and made common for all individuals.

I believe there is some kind of standard list of measurements that we can use to determine how sorted out we are.

It's something like this -

Are your computer files orderly?
  • A cluttered desktop is automatic no
  • Scattered vacation photos is automatic no
  • Having tons of unknown crap in your Downloads folder - no
